Takayo Akiyama
Takayo Akiyama is the next artist to work with us on the gerald exhibition to give him a new coat. Takayo is a Japanese-born graduate of the Musashino Art College in Tokyo, Akiyama moved to London to finish her MA at Central Saint Martins in 2006. She loves to create detailed fantasy worlds, and contributes illustrations to numerous publications including Blueprint magazine.
She is also the artistic director of Illustrated People fashion label and has designed graphic prints for a line of clothing by Puma. The second volume of her comic series 'Siamese Twins’ was recently published by Edition Cambourakis in France.
